Template trash
When you delete a template, Undersign moves it to Template Trash instead of permanently removing it immediately. This gives you an opportunity to restore a template if it was deleted by mistake.
Delete a template
You can delete a template from the Templates page using its available actions.
When you delete a template, it is moved to Template Trash. It is no longer available for creating new signing requests, but it can still be restored while it remains in Trash.
Restore a template
If you need a deleted template again, open Template Trash, find the template, and select Restore.
The template returns to your Templates list with its existing setup, including its document, fields, and signer configuration.
Permanently delete a template
If you are certain you no longer need a template, you can permanently delete it from Template Trash.
Select the template and choose Delete Forever.
Permanent deletion cannot be undone. The template and its template configuration will no longer be available.
Templates may also be automatically removed from Trash after the retention period configured by your application or account.
Deleting a template does not affect signing requests
Deleting a template only affects the template itself. It does not delete or change signing requests that were previously created using that template.
For example, if you used a template to send a signing request and later delete the template, the existing signing request and its completed documents remain available.
This keeps your template library separate from your signing records.
