Public signing links
Core concepts
Public signing links
A Public Signing Link is a reusable entry point into a signing workflow. It is not itself a single signature request.
The link defines the configuration for the signing experience, including:
- Templates/documents
- Link name
- Expiry
- Submission limit
- Optional pre-form configuration
- Prefill configuration
- Signing behavior
- Audit-related settings
When someone opens an active link, Undersign creates a new signing session for that person.
Conceptually:
One Public Signing Link
- → Signing Session 1
- → Signing Session 2
- → Signing Session 3
- → Signing Session 4
This makes public links particularly useful when the number of signers is not known in advance.
Important distinction: A public link does not mean that multiple people collaborate on the same signature request. Every person gets their own independent signing session and their own resulting signing record/document.
