Sending & signing

After sending

Once a request is out, the work shifts from building to tracking, reminding, and resolving. Here's what happens and what you can do.

Live status

Every sent request tracks each signer's state: awaiting, opened, completed, declined. Watch them on Sent documents, and read the full status vocabulary on Document status.

Reminders

For signers who haven't acted, send manual reminders from the request details - or enable automatic ones depending on your plan. Reminders re-email the signing link with your original message.

Changes after sending

Before any signature is given, you can often add or remove a pending signer, adjust sequential order, or void the request. Once signing starts, the layout and roster are locked; for substantive changes you void and re-send. See Document details.

At completion

When all signers finish, the document seals, every party is notified, and the audit trail plus completion certificate are generated. Completed documents live under Completed documents.

Declined requests are reversible. A signer can decline: you're notified and the request is paused. You can re-engage them or void the request from its details page.
