Send to multiple signers
Before you start
- A document or template with all the parties identified.
- Each signer's name and email.
- A decision on who sees and fills which fields.
A typical example
Customer → Manager → Company representative. A contract where the customer fills their details, the manager approves, and your company representative signs last.
The workflow
- Add every signer as a role in the template.
- Assign each field to the signer who completes it.
- Set the signing order.
- Send and track each signer's progress.
Step 1: Add the signers
Add each person's name and email at send time. If you send this frequently, bake the roles into a template instead.
Step 2: Assign fields to signers
Every field belongs to exactly one signer. Assign signature, text, and date fields so each person completes only their part. Control cross-signer visibility with Field visibility.
Step 3: Set the order
Let everyone sign at once, or enforce an order with sequential signing, for example when a manager must approve before a representative signs.
Step 4: Send and track
Send the request and watch per-signer progress. You'll see exactly who has signed and who hasn't, and can remind stragglers.
What happens next?
Each signer completes their assigned fields in the order you set, and the document completes when everyone has signed. The audit trail records every step.
