Templates & reuse
Organize templates with categories
Before you start
- A few templates in your library.
- An idea of the groupings that make sense: team, document type, or use case.
The workflow
- Decide your category names.
- Create the categories.
- Assign each template.
- Send by browsing the category.
Step 1: Choose the names
Category names should match how you think about your documents: HR, Sales, Legal, Onboarding.
Step 2: Create the categories
Create the categories from Categories. The list is shared across templates.
Step 3: Assign templates
Assign each template to its category. Templates without a category still appear, but categorized ones are far easier to find.
Step 4: Send from the category
When creating a request, browse by category to reach the right template fast, even once the library is large.
What happens next?
Categories turn a flat list into a navigable library. This pays off as you add more document types and reuse.
