Signing Modes

The mode field on a signature request determines how the request is delivered to signers.

mode is required when creating a signature request. The documented examples demonstrate email delivery:

How it works

With email mode, signers receive an email containing a secure link to review and sign the document. The signer's flow is described in the user documentation.

Choose the mode that matches how your signers receive requests. The signing experience, notification behavior and available configuration may vary by mode.
