Getting started
Making your first request
Send an authenticated request to the API and understand what comes back. The example lists the templates available to your account.
The request
Run this from your server or command line. Replace <BEARER_TOKEN> with your credential:
curl -X GET "<BASE_URL>/templates" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer <BEARER_TOKEN>"
Base URL. In production, <BASE_URL> is https://toolkit.undersign.app/api/v1.1. See Base URL & Environments.
Anatomy of the request
| Part | Value | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Method | GET |
Retrieves data without changing server state. |
| URL | <BASE_URL>/templates |
The templates endpoint for your account. |
| Authorization header | Bearer <BEARER_TOKEN> |
Authenticates the request. |
The response
A successful response includes the overall result and a data payload whose shape depends on the endpoint. The list-templates response returns an array of template records in data:
200 OK
{
"success": true,
"request_id": "...",
"timestamp": "...",
"data": [ ... ]
}
Each template record includes fields such as template_id, template_title, template_file and template_type. See List Templates for the full field list.
Next step
Now that you can make an authenticated request, send your first signature request.
