Webhook Problems

Diagnose webhook delivery failures by checking the endpoint URL, reachability and event configuration.

Checklist

1. Correct endpoint URL

   Confirm the webhook url points to the exact endpoint you expect to receive notifications.

2. Public reachability

   Verify the endpoint is reachable from the internet. Local or private addresses won't receive notifications.

3. HTTPS

   Use an HTTPS endpoint so notifications are encrypted in transit. See Webhook Security.

4. Event configuration

   Confirm the events list includes the activity you expect to be notified about. The documented example uses ["*"] for all events.

5. Incoming request logging

   Log incoming notifications to confirm they arrive and to inspect their content safely.

6. Prompt response

   Return a response as soon as a notification is accepted. Slow responses can trigger delivery retries.

7. Repeat-safe event processing

   Ensure processing the same event twice has no duplicate side effects, notifications may be delivered more than once.
