GoHighLevel E-Signature: Automate Agency Client Forms

Client acquisition is automated. Contract collection should not be the bottleneck.

Marketing agencies use GoHighLevel to manage leads, pipelines, follow-ups, and client communication. Yet a new client may still wait for a service agreement, campaign authorization, onboarding form, or recurring service terms. When the paperwork process is separate from the sales workflow, the agency has to remember another manual handoff.

An UnderSign integration can connect suitable GoHighLevel events to signing workflows. The agency can use standard signature requests for known clients, Bulk Signing for lists of existing customers, and public Signing Links for forms that a prospect or visitor should initiate themselves.

1. New client: send the agreement after qualification.\ When a lead becomes an approved client, a workflow can validate the contact and package details, prepare the correct agreement, and send a standard signature request. The pipeline should show whether the agreement is pending or complete, so onboarding does not begin on the assumption that paperwork is finished.

2. Existing client base: collect updated terms.\ If an agency changes its service terms or needs annual acknowledgements, Bulk Signing can send an independent request to each selected client. Use a reviewed list, record a stable contact or account identifier, and monitor failures separately from successful sends.

3. Walk-in or self-serve sign-up: let the person start.\ A QR code at an event, on a printed sales sheet, or at a partner location can open a public Signing Link. This works when the signer is not known before opening the form. It may suit a waiver, consultation consent, or intake document; it is not a substitute for stronger identity verification where that is required.

A white-label agency needs a clear operating model

Before building the workflow, decide who owns the UnderSign account, where each client's documents are stored, who can view completed agreements, and how API credentials are protected. If an agency serves multiple businesses, do not let one client's signing documents become visible to another client through shared folders, poorly scoped permissions, or incorrect record matching.

HighLevel's own document and contract capabilities and APIs should be evaluated before designing a parallel system. UnderSign is most compelling when its free-signing model, public-link workflow, bulk capability, or API flexibility solves a defined gap, not merely because another integration is possible.

A sensible first implementation

Start with one pipeline and one agreement type. Test missing email addresses, duplicate workflow runs, a signer who declines, an expired request, and a successful completion. Only then extend the pattern to additional service packages or client accounts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can GHL trigger an UnderSign request when a pipeline stage changes?
+

A configured integration can use a suitable stage or workflow event. Add duplicate prevention and eligibility checks.

Can an agency use UnderSign for client onboarding?
+

Yes, a workflow can send standard agreements to known clients. Intake or consent forms can also be offered through public Signing Links where appropriate.

Can I send the same agreement to many GHL contacts?
+

Bulk Signing can create independent requests from a validated recipient list. Confirm the integration's mapping and reporting approach before sending at scale.

Does a public signing link require a contact record first?
+

The link can be opened by a person who is not yet a CRM contact. If the business needs a contact record afterward, configure a safe matching or creation step.
